\nA.\u00a0 Yes!\u00a0 Even tampons, which are advertised as flushable.\u00a0 If you check out the page “Our Work” you will see a picture of tampons wrapped all around our snake machine.\u00a0 Please just wrap these products with toilet paper and dispose in the trash.<\/p>\n

Q:\u00a0 What about flushable wipes?<\/span><\/strong>
\nA:\u00a0 No such thing exists!\u00a0 The best rule of thumb is, if it’s not toilet paper, don’t flush it. Even paper towels and napkins can clog a drain line.<\/p>\n

Q:\u00a0 I have heard trees and shrubs can cause plumbing problems, how so?<\/span><\/strong>
\nA:\u00a0 Roots from trees, bushes and shrubs can wreck havoc to your sewer and storm drain lines.\u00a0 Once a root infiltrates a pipe, it can cause all sorts of damage.\u00a0 \u00a0 Sometimes the damage is apparent quickly, other times, it can happen over a period of years.<\/p>\n

For example, a faucet might not be made of metal but merely painted with a metal like finish.\u00a0 Also, the parts inside a fixture may be made of plastic which tend to break easily causing leaks or instability in the product.<\/p>\n

\nA:\u00a0 Two solutions:\u00a0 1.\u00a0 use the disposal cleaning packets from a plumbing supply store\u00a0 or 2. follow the steps below:<\/p>\n

1. Make sure disposal is off and clean of debris (like silverware or that missing binky)
\n2. Pack disposal with ice cubes and orange or lemon peels (lemon juice works ok)
\n3. Plug drain
\n4. Fill sink 1\/4 full of water
\n5. At same time, turn on disposal and unplug drain.
